A non-quilting post

When we purchased this house in April 2022, we inherited this totally outdated bathroom.  Yes, it does appeal to some but definitely not me.  I hated the pillars (more stuff to be cleaned), we also only found out afterwards that the jets in the bathtub did not work, or at least there was a leak and the water, which in itself was a massive amount due to the size of the bathtub, never reached the jets.

This before photo was of the bathroom coming in from the bedroom.

Then the shower was too tiny to our taste and we needed bigger.

The tiny shower was hidden behind the door.

In February of this year, hubby started all by his lonesome self to renovate this.  He is quite the handyman but did acknowledge he is not much of a plumber but took a leap of faith and continued.

This was what it looked like on day 8

Working all by himself, it took some time to finish, but luckily, we could use a second bathroom.

At the beginning of June, we could move back to the main bathroom and I am so pleased with the outcome.

We chose a standard-sized bathtub but made the shower much bigger.

Off to continue with the current quilt on the frame.

Lovely job! I especially like all that storage - easily accessible - next to the sink.
