I know quilters hate it when their quilts are referred to as blankets, but this quilt maker specifically requested a plastic-like canvas as a backing, as she intends to use it as a blanket on the beach.
Looking at
this perfect creation and the colour play, I wondered if another quilter saw
this on the beach, would they think that the quilt maker received it as a gift and, with no appreciation for the work done, simply used it on the beach? They will obviously not be aware of the
plastic backing or that the maker intended it for the beach.
If a
non-quilter sees this, they must wonder where on earth she purchased something
this special. I am sure this family will
have many fond memories made on this beach blanket.
