This grandmother wanted a quilt for her new grandbaby but not being a quilter herself, asked a quilting friend to make her one and this is the result.

Chevron quilt
This quilt made by my most active customer is to be delivered to a colleague diagnosed with a terminal illness to simply say “get well soon”. Looking at all these beautiful and bright colours it will even make a healthy person feel better immediately.

Fairy panel quilt
After doing several edge-to-edge quilts, receiving this beautiful panel-to-custom quilt was a refreshing change and even though I planned what to do where the final result still remains to be determined until completion. I am rather impressed with this ending.

Swirling star table topper
One of our local groups decided on this quilt as a group project. Each quilter got the pattern and then had to make her own. I’ve seen this pattern many times on the internet but am thrilled that the colours used by this quilter, came my way to quilt.

Boyish blues
This is from the same quilter who did the previous quilt, this time however for another colleague expecting a little boy. This fabric had loops, I suppose imitating the flight of the little aeroplanes, so I did loops for the free motion quilting.

Pretty in pink
If you are a quilter and get invited to the stork tea of a pregnant colleague, I think the most logical gift to give would be a quilt. This quilter even knew the gender of the soon-to-be baby which made the choice of colour easy.
When
looking at the fabric, I noticed the little clouds and that was the sign as to
which motif to use when free motion quilting this little quilt.

Organized disappearing 9-patch
This quilter used the trusted disappearing 9-patch pattern but when laying out her blocks decided to organize them to her liking. We both agreed that grey is a versatile colour and shown here with the pinks and purples prove it.

Piecing again
The last quilt I pieced was in October 2021 and after moving to the new house in April 2022 I never got around to even finding all my fabric let alone piecing anything. When I decided to tackle a new project it took some time to get my layout to work for me and I struggled a lot with the MUCH smaller sewing room I have now but I am sure the more I do, the better I will get my new place to work for me too.
My daughter
had a rough week in that she first broke a toe, then got bit by a spider and it
had to be cut open and drained in the theatre and while taking her blood, she
passed out (funny as she works in a hospital and in theatre and sees blood and
gut all the time). However, as she said,
everything happens in 3’s and she had 3, so yesterday evening they got on a
plane and flew to the beach for a couple of days.
