This is how I spent my New Years' Day

While DH seem to make this a painting holiday and painted most everything he could lay his hands on – brick walls, plastered walls, window frames, wooden poles, Foosball table legs, etc. I found other ways to keep myself busy.  I made 2 more dust covers.  This time for chairs moved outside after renovating our bedroom.  This is to protect them from our cats and dogs that seem to think every new piece of furniture is placed for their convenience only.

I got dressed in my costume and spend my day between getting a little sun by the pool while reading a book “Deadlands” by Lily Herne and in between with my body still wet to shield me from the heat, I would slip to the garage where I layered and  pinned my ‘Hexagons turned cubes’ quilt.

Why doesn't life always seem this peaceful and relaxed?

  1. Happy New Year. It is only 9*F here. I was outside because the neighbors house blew up and we watched the firefighters putting it out. Glad you got to do some pin basting. Chris
